White label

White-Label OTT App Development for Your Brand

Branded Android, Android TV and Fire TV applications on your domain, with a straight answer about the platforms nobody can deliver.

Custom DNS gets your domain in front of the customer. A branded application gets your name on the thing they open every evening. This page sets out what that involves, what we need from you, and where the limits are — including the ones that are not ours to move.

What “white-label” covers here

Your hostname

A hostname on your own domain, so the server URL your customers enter carries your brand. Available with the reseller panel — see panel features.

Included with the panel

Your application

An Android build carrying your name, icon and colours, pointed at your service by default so customers do not type a server URL at all.

Commissioned per brand

Your support channels

The app and the panel point at your contact details, not ours. Your customers never need to know we exist.

Platforms we can genuinely build for

PlatformPositionWhy
Android phones & tabletsYesDistributed as an APK you host or we host for you.
Android TV, Fire TV, FirestickYesSame build family; installed by sideload or a Downloader code.
Android TV boxesYesAny Android 5.0 or newer device.
Google Play / Amazon Appstore listingYour account, your riskStore policy on this category of app is restrictive and enforcement changes. If you want a store listing it goes on your developer account, and we will not promise it survives review.
iOS / tvOSNot offeredApple does not permit sideloading, and App Store review does not accept this class of player. Anyone promising you a branded iPhone app in this category is describing something that does not ship.
Samsung Tizen / LG webOSNot offeredRetail sets block sideloading. Your customers use a store player with your playlist — see the viewer guides on t-rextv.io.

The two “not offered” rows are the honest answer, not a negotiating position. They are platform-owner restrictions and no supplier can sell you around them.

What we need from you

AssetFormatNotes
App nameTextCheck it is not already taken in the markets you sell in. That check is yours to do.
IconSquare PNG, 1024×1024, no transparency in the safe areaAndroid generates every smaller size from this. A low-resolution source cannot be rescued later.
Wordmark / logoTransparent PNG or SVGUsed in the app header and on the splash screen.
Brand coloursHex valuesGive a light and a dark value. TV interfaces are viewed on dark screens at distance; a pale accent disappears.
Splash artwork16:9 PNG, 1920×1080 or largerOptional. Without it the splash uses your wordmark on your primary colour.
Support contactURL, WhatsApp number or Telegram handleThis is what the app shows customers. It must be yours.
Default serverHostnameUsually your custom-DNS hostname, so customers never type a server URL.

Full specification, including the safe areas and the sizes that get generated, is in branding asset requirements.

How the process runs

  1. Scope it

Talk to sales about which platforms you need and roughly how many customers you expect. This determines whether a branded app is worth it at all — below a certain scale, custom DNS alone does the job.

  2. Send the assets

Against the specification above. Incomplete or low-resolution assets are the most common cause of delay, by a wide margin.

  3. Review a build

You get a build to install and check on real hardware — a phone and a TV device at minimum. Check the icon on a TV launcher, not just on a phone.

  4. Sign off and ship

Once you approve, you get the release build and the distribution route you agreed. Ongoing releases are covered in app release management.

On timelines and pricing. Both depend on how many platforms you want and how ready your assets are, so they come from sales in writing rather than from this page. We are not going to publish a turnaround figure we cannot hold to for every project.

Questions

Do I own the app?

You own your brand and your assets. The application itself is licensed to you. Get the specifics in your agreement rather than inferring them from a web page.

Can I put it on Google Play?

On your own developer account, if you choose to. Store policy in this category is restrictive and enforcement changes, so we will not promise a listing survives review.

What happens when the app needs updating?

Builds are reissued and you distribute them. See app release management for how to roll one out without breaking existing installs.

Can I have a branded panel as well as a branded app?

Custom DNS covers the customer-facing hostname. Ask sales about anything beyond that.

Is an iPhone build really impossible?

Through the App Store, in this category, yes. Enterprise and developer-certificate distribution exists but is not a supportable consumer route, and we do not offer it.
