Branding
White-Label Branding Asset Requirements
Exactly what to send for a branded build, in the formats that will not need redoing. Incomplete or low-resolution assets are the single biggest cause of delay.
| Asset | Format | Size | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| App icon | PNG, no transparency in the safe area | 1024×1024 | Every smaller size is generated from this. A 512px source cannot be upscaled later. |
| Adaptive icon foreground | PNG with transparency | 1024×1024 | Keep artwork inside the central 66% — Android crops the rest on some launchers. |
| Wordmark | SVG preferred, or transparent PNG | ≥1200px wide | Used in-app and on the splash screen. |
| Splash artwork | PNG or JPG, 16:9 | ≥1920×1080 | Optional. Without it, the splash is your wordmark on your primary colour. |
| Primary colour | Hex | — | Used for buttons and highlights. |
| Surface colour | Hex | — | The app background. Dark values work better on televisions. |
| Accent colour | Hex | — | Must stay legible on the surface colour at three metres. |
| App name | Plain text | ≤30 characters | Longer names are truncated in TV launchers. |
| Support contact | URL, WhatsApp number or Telegram handle | — | Shown to your customers. Must be yours, not ours. |
| Default server hostname | Hostname | — | Usually your custom-DNS name, so customers never type a URL. |
Things that go wrong
Icon artwork to the edges
Android launchers mask icons into circles and squircles. Anything outside the central 66% will be cut. Design inward.
A pale accent colour
It looks fine on a laptop and disappears on a television across a room. Check your accent on a real TV before signing off.
A logo with baked-in background
A wordmark on a white rectangle looks broken on a dark app. Send transparent artwork.
A name that is already taken
Check the markets you sell in before we build. Renaming after release means every customer reinstalls.
Reviewing the build
You will get a build to check. Install it on a phone and a TV device — the icon, the colour contrast and the name truncation all behave differently on a TV launcher, and a phone-only review misses all three. Signing off from a screenshot is how avoidable problems reach customers.
Timelines depend on how complete your assets are when they arrive. We are not going to publish a turnaround figure that we could not hold to for every project — sales will give you one in writing for yours.
Questions
Can you design the logo for us?
Ask sales. It is a separate piece of work, not part of a standard build.
Can I change the colours after release?
Yes, in a later build. Customers get it when they update — see app release management.
What if I only have a low-resolution logo?
Have it redrawn before the build. Upscaled artwork looks wrong on a 4K television and there is no fixing it afterwards.
