How TREX OTT Reseller Credits Work

One credit activates one subscription month. Everything else about the credit system follows from that sentence, including the part that surprises people.

The rule

One credit = one month on one line. A twelve-month line costs twelve credits, deducted when you create it, not month by month. A four-connection line still costs one credit per month — connections are a property of the line, not a multiplier on the credit. This is the rate card as published with the reseller product:

CreditsWhat it activates
121 year on 1 device
66 months on 1 device
33 months on 1 device
11 month on 1 device
024-hour trial on 1 device (free)

Buying them

Credits are bought in packs, and the price per credit falls as the pack gets larger. Current pricing is on the reseller panel page and is read from the same source the sales quote comes from.

Buy for the customers you have plus a reasonable margin, not for the price break. A larger pack is cheaper per credit and more expensive in cash you cannot use.

Sub-resellers

You can create reseller accounts beneath yours and move credits into them. Points worth knowing before you do:

  • Credits you allocate leave your balance. Treat the allocation as a sale, because commercially it is one.
  • A sub-reseller sees their own customers and not yours.
  • Their customers are still on your infrastructure. If they behave badly, it lands on your account.
  • Vet people before you allocate. There is no undo on a credit a sub-reseller has already spent.

Running out

Existing lines are unaffected — they were paid for when created and run to their expiry date. What stops is your ability to create new lines or renew existing ones. Since renewals are time-sensitive, running to zero at month end is how resellers lose customers. Request credits from inside the panel before you need them.

Watch the expiries-due list, not your credit balance. The number that matters is how many credits your upcoming renewals need, and the panel dashboard tells you that.

Questions

Do credits expire?

Confirm the current position with sales in writing before buying a large pack. We are not going to state a term here that may not match your agreement.

Can I get a refund on unused credits?

Ask sales; it is a commercial question, not a panel feature.

Are credits transferable to another account?

Allocation to a sub-reseller beneath you is built in. Anything else needs to go through sales.

Does a trial cost a credit?

No. A trial runs for 24 hours and costs 0 credits, as the rate card above shows. They are a sales tool, not a free tier.
